The Washington legislature passed and funded several bills that support orca recovery. Bills passed addressed toxins in the Sound, noise abatement, oil spill prevention, and recovering salmon, but they don’t go far enough. What you can do now is contact your elected officials in the other Washington. Why now? The Puget Sound Partnership (PSP) and other pro-orca organizations were just in DC discussing funding for the continued restoration of Puget Sound. OC supports this effort and we are asking you to step up and help save this iconic species.
