Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance – N Seattle Lateral Upgrade

Despite its potential environmental impacts, the so-called North Seattle Lateral Upgrade has flown almost entirely under the radar: it has received virtually no media coverage in the Northwest and scant comment from the public or advocacy groups.

Besides the implications for our climate, at least 15 streams would be disrupted during spawning season for threatened salmon species, which will also negatively orcas ability to survive.
