Orca Network's Ways of Whales Workshop

The Ways of Whales workshop is annually hosted by Orca Network and is offered both in person and virtually.

The in-person workshop is being held at Coupeville High School Performing Arts Center and will feature booths and tables from local orgs and non-profits, including Orca Conservancy.

The confirmed guest speakers and topics for the 2025 Ways of Whales include:

Susan Berta and Howard Garrett, Orca Network

Rosie Cayou James, Coast Salish Elder - L Pod visit to Penn Cove

John Calambokidis, Cascadia Research Collective - Blue whales, and special mention of the 52 Hertz whale

Michael Weiss, Center for Whale Research - Southern Resident killer whale population update, and using drones to study behavior

Salmon Conservation - a series of short presentations followed by a panel discussion.
