Orca Conservancy joins Wild Fish Conservancy in Addressing the Department of Ecology to Protect Puget Sound from Atlantic Salmon Net Pens

Atlantic salmon net pens have been banned in every West Coast state except Washington. Atlantic salmon net pens pose a major threat to not only the health of Puget Sound and its salmon, but ultimately the endangered Southern Resident killer whales that rely on wild Chinook salmon for their survival. Orca Conservancy wishes to thank Wild Fish Conservancy for putting these comments together, and for giving us the opportunity to sign-on to this important issue currently facing our region today. -Shari
